
Lindy Perez
Director of Choral Activities
Lindy Perez is in her 14th year as the director of Choral Activities at
Richardson High School where her choirs have earned many awards at state
and local competitions. She directs the Varsity Acappella Choir, Varsity Men’s
and Women’s Choirs, the JV Girl’s Choir, and Legacy. Mrs. Perez has been
selected four times as the Most Influential Teacher by top ten graduates at
RHS. In 2010, she received the PTA Honorary Life Membership award, and
in 2011, was the recipient of the UIL Sponsor Excellence Award. Prior to
teaching at Richardson HS, she was the Choral Director at Westwood Junior
High for 13 years. Under her direction, the Westwood Chorale won numerous
festivals, performed at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., and was
honored to perform for the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in
1991.
A graduate of Lake Highlands HS in the Richardson ISD, Mrs. Perez earned a
Bachelor of Music degree from Southern Methodist University in 1984. She is
also the director of the Richardson All District Elementary Choir which
performed for the 2003 Texas Music Educators Association Convention. As a
member of the Texas Music Adjudicators Association, Mrs. Perez enjoys
serving as a clinician, judge, and presenter of workshops on vocal technique for
the young singer, throughout the state of Texas.

Elizabeth Moore
Assistant Director of Choral Activities
Elizabeth Moore is in her seventh year as the Assistant Director of Choral
Activities at Richardson High School, where she teaches the Women’s Choir,
Concert Choir, JV Boys and assists with the Acappella Choir. Under Ms. Moore’
s direction her choirs have consistently earned Sweepstakes at UIL
Competition.
Ms. Moore graduated from J.J. Pearce High School in the Richardson
Independent School District in 2001. She received a Bachelor of Music degree
with a minor in Education in 2005 from The University of North Texas. Ms.
Moore is a current member of the Texas Choral Directors Association, the
Texas Music Educators Association, and the Texas Music Adjudicators
Association.

Joel Price
Westwood Choir Director
Joel M. Price is in his seventeenth year of teaching, serving for the
last twelve years as the choral director at Westwood Junior High
School where his choirs consistently have earned Sweepstakes
awards for superior ratings at the annual UIL Concert and
Sightreading contest. The Westwood Chorale Girls, under the
direction of Mr. Price, received the prestigious honor of being invited
to perform in concert for the Texas Music Educators Association
convention in February 2007. In 2011, Joel had the honor of
conducting the Mississippi Junior High All-State Choir.
Mr. Price is presently serving a two-year term as a member of the
UIL Prescribed Music List committee. From 2005-2007, he served
on the Board of Directors of the Texas Choral Directors Association
as the Middle School/Junior High Vice President. Joel is in demand
as a clinician/conductor for All-State, All-Region, and All-City choirs,
as an adjudicator for UIL Concert and Sightreading contests
throughout the state, and as a judge for Solo and Ensemble contests
in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. During the 2004-2005 school year,
Joel was honored to represent Westwood Junior High as Teacher of
the Year and was selected as the Richardson ISD Secondary Teacher
of the Year by the Richardson ISD Tomorrow Foundation. In 2008,
Joel was selected as a statewide finalist for the H-E-B Excellence in
Education award. He was awarded the Texas Congress of Parents
and Teachers PTA Honorary Life Membership in 2009.
Angie Campbell
West Choir Director
Angie Campbell is the choir director at Richardson West Junior High and is
new to RISD this year. She teaches Chorale, Men’s Choir, and Concert Choir as
well as traveling to 6th grade campuses to assist with music classes there.
Ms. Campbell graduated from the University of North Texas with a B.S. in
Music and Elementary Education. She has taught 2nd and 4th grades in
addition to music. She is the music director at her church in Frisco and teaches
private piano lessons.
